Mission Work

Mission projects are undertaken to help those in need, whether it be within the BPC church family, the local community, or worldwide. Our mission work includes:

  • assisting grieving BPC families by hosting memorial/funeral receptions
  • providing financial donations to local community agencies/groups who reach out to those in need, such as food banks, homeless programs, and hospices
  • constructing mosquito nets for distribution throughout the world to help prevent malaria, particularly among children
  • making crochet/knitting squares for assembly into various items, such as blankets, that are needed by those who cannot afford such items
  • participating in mission projects identified by the Presbyterian Women in the Elizabeth Presbytery, such as donating first aid and medical supplies for IMA medical boxes which are used to address health care needs in the developing world providing financial donations to assist the work of BPC and the Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Elizabeth
  • Providing financial donations to assist the work of BPC and the Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Elizabeth

Fundraising Events

Fundraising events are held periodically to enable us to fulfill our mission work. These events include public dinners, rummage sales, bake sales, and the selling of various items, such as cookbooks and ornaments. We also view these activities as community outreach as we strive to make our public dinners and sale events affordable for the general populace.

Dinner Programs

The Women's Group also conducts a Spring Dinner in May and an Officers' Installation Dinner in November. These programmatic dinners allow BPC women a time for fellowship and for strengthening our bonds with each other.

Come and Share Your Talents

The Women's Group feels blessed by the generosity of BPC women and its congregation who donate their time and talents to help us achieve our goals. We welcome and encourage all BPC women to participate in our Group.
